Oops I did it again π

As the title says: ” Oops, I did it again.” Β I did a thing and this is part 2. Click here for part 1. I just had a conversation with my bosses that I will not extend my contract. They did offer me and I do not take that for granted, but I don’t want to do this any longer. It was a job that helped me after I spent a whole Summer living my best life and spending money like there was no tomorrow. I was very happy when I got this job but it was supposed to only be for 7 months. These 7 months have passed and it’s time for a new adventure. At first, I did want to say yes but deep down I knew this wouldn’t have been the best decision.Β
Learned a lot
I am grateful that I took this job because I learned a lot. It felt good to see how my students appreciated me and I loved it when some of them got their diplomas because of how I helped them with their planning etc. I can’t even plan my own life but once in charge of someone else’s life, I thrive hahaha.
Loyal
If I had said yes to another year I would have become miserable but I never quit mid-job. I always stay until the end of my contract because I am very loyal. There is no way I want to become that person again and feel miserable every day. I learned a lot where I am now but it is time to move on now that I don’t hate the job. I did that for many years at my previous job. As I am typing this I feel a sense of relief, happiness, and STRESS!! I feel stressed because here we go again with the what now question. The what now also comes with good old excitement cause who knows where I am going to end up in a few months.Β
Midlife Crisis
Wouldn’t it be better if I just bought a Porsche hahaha like some men do when they get into their midlife crisis? Β I hope to get my answers soon because I don’t know how many times I can just up and quit like this. I am not getting any younger and there will come a point when people won’t want to hire me because of my age. Even though I will forever be 28 in my mind. What do most women do when they get into a midlife crisis?Β
Looking for a new job
I am staying here till the beginning of July and after that, I am going to take 2 weeks off. In the meantime, I am going to look for new opportunities. As always this is scary and exciting at the same time. I am going to miss a few of my colleagues here because they were so nice and fun! Of course, I will update you as soon as I find something new. But for now, I am counting down the days (34 to be exact) to freedom again.Β
I might even have to go back to teaching for a few months π but this time I might go do it as a freelancer. I decide if and when I want to work. I want to save as much money as I can to make 2024 my traveling year. Traveling has been a dream of mine for some time now but I also have bills.Β

Hi Indira, once i like what you’re saying,
A lot of us are in the same mental and financial battles.
I’m a passionate singer, but absolutely hate some of the gigs I HAVE to do because of financial decisions I’ve made in the past.
Can’t just get up and leave, I wish I had first of all your age to able to make these type of bold moves.
I wish you the best in your future adventure.
I know in my guts that you’ll be alright cause you’re intelligent and resourceful.
Keep these posts coming.

First of all thanxxxx so much for reading my blog. π It is such a struggle to do what we love because these bills don’t care if we are unhappy with our job. I wish we could all just do what we love and earn a good living without worries or anything. I might have to go back into teaching for a few months just to save some money again so I can make my other dreams come true. Thank you for believing in me. This makes me very happy and I hope you’ll get to do only gigs you love in the future and that the money will be an extra bonus whilst doing what you love. WE GOT THIS!!! π
